We are a research based collective of 3 independent dance artists, Andrea Puerta, Natalie Heller and Margarita Zafrilla Olayo. We are embarking on a long term project geared towards bringing together dance artists and academic researchers from the fields of cognitive science, education and philosophy with the intention of exploring questions on knowledge, how it is acquired and passed on.

What does it entail to research something through movement?

How do we track and archive embodied research?

How does movement allow us to understand the world around us?

The main focus for our second Spirals & Horizontal Connection event is to explore methods of choreographic practices that put movement, perceptual experience and creative interaction at their core. The theme for 2014 takes the form of a question:

  • ‘What if the performance event is the research?’
